Inner strength builds from Power of GIVING

“Power of Giving” lies in ones understanding on what one has to give. One must GIVE and SHARE the qualities that they excel and by GIVING , would only add more value to the qualities .

Before that one has to know what, how and when someone has to give. It could be meeting ones expectations, building ones trust, increasing hopes, understanding one another, purpose of living many more(as count never ends).

OCEAN can be one’s biggest inspiration when it comes to GIVING; Ocean is massively filled with water and other resources which on GIVING its resources to livings would not exhaust itself from its qualities or resources. To my thinking this is some thing that emits the statement“Power of Giving”.

Let’s get in depth through this visualization on Ocean. Ocean always gives its touch and feel to the ones who needs and believes it. As we all know that drops to drops make an ocean so when we give what we excel would one day create an ocean in the receiver’s mind that would be filled with our qualities. I would always spread happiness around to the close ones with a hope that I too would be filled with happiness. Power of giving plays its roles when we would want something in return, I would advice that to receive something always learn to give, We would be even aware of the commonly used statement “Let go, if its yours it would come back to you”. So give what you have to the needful and it would surely fill your box too.

To put simple “By nature’s rules: Who believes in giving doesn’t losses any thing”.

Now let’s consider something like the Rose, Its been said that Rose is the best way to express one’s feelings and warmth to close ones. It erects itself to be one of the beautiful nature’s creations. Power of Giving the Rose emits is through its beauty that would melt anyone’s heart and rush a smile. As it gives the warmth and belongings feel it receives more demand and value… but on the contradictory Rose even emits thorns, being the most preferred channels of Giving, it would even give sorrows as the pain of thorns but one still picks on them cause of the happiness factor that it adds as its value.

Through out my experience up to date I carry a sense of satisfaction in giving. Though it should not be measured personally but according to me it’s a power where it helps one to gain more affection, belongings, responsibilities etc towards the receiver.

Mother Nature also practices the same rules like the flower gives nectar, sun gives light, moon gives feel of romance, Rain gives hopes, etc. My Favorite dialogue from a favorite movie Spider Man “Great Power comes the great responsibility “. So what you believe in you, the power of giving or power of taking?

Thought that Makes or Breaks:

Differences in Life are really made when one wears on a smart approach in solving a problem through the THINKING CAP. Great thoughts which are hidden within oneself would improve ones work-life in the best approachable way and this is exactly the objective of my article. I feel that many data are needed to be analyzed so that we would all push our thoughts to actions.

Let’s start with our much known business guru “Late. Dirubhai Ambani” … We all would know it was his thoughts that made him build an entire empire and made him stand out of the normal crowd.
GOOGLE and TALLY are one among the tycoons that have also made huge differences with just a single thought, well actually GOOGLE is a mediator between the sector of people who provides information and another who seeks information with a catchy word FREE. As a result, GOOGLE now stands as the top Internet advertising search engine. Coming to TALLY, company worked with low pricing model to go in mass to beat the competition. TALLY grabbed a big market share by providing their product at the lowest price and made it accessible to even the smallest business user.

The present Economic malaise seems to have made people work smarter & think differently to grab the billion deal opportunities in the most happening sectors like KPO, ITES, IT, Telecom, Education but thought is the fuel to drive the things.
Thought pops only when problems or opportunity arises and plays a very important catalyst for Success or Failure and gateway to the future.

Its easy to say THINK OUT OF THE BOX, so will stop being philosophical and will justify with facts what out of the box thinking will do for business.

1 .Tutor Vista founded by Krishnan Ganesh , a very well known serial entrepreneur who early founded Customer Asset which was later acquired by ICICI. During Mr. Ganesh’s tenure with Customer Asset , had three main challenges Transportation, Quality of Food and huge capital expenditure, then came the exercise that’s “ THINKING OUT OF THE BOX” of creating virtual business that formed Tutor Vista, a personalized 24 online tutoring service for U.S and U.K Market. A brilliant thought and a big revenue deal…!!! Today Tutor Vista is the major source of knowledge for students in U.S and U.K and it employees more than 600 plus highly qualified teachers.

2. Dainik Bhaskar is the No.1 daily subscribed local newspaper on first day of launch by its radical innovative and risk taking strategy. Strange..! But what’s the OUT OF THE BOX THINKING they did…??? Then here we go… they built a team of well trained 700 surveyors who approached individual consumers to take the inputs to customize their newspapers with public preferences … They customized and developed it on the feedbacks and demands gained from approaches whom they have built a strong relationship and convinced them to subscribe. Today they are ranking top 25 dailies in the world. Bhaskar has a collective circulation of approximately 4.4 million across its titles –Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar, Saurashtra Samachar, Prabhat kiran, Business Bhaskar,DB Star and DNA.

3. Essar Group a steel congolometer, they diversified into IT, KPO, ITES business named Aegis Ltd. Diversification was their out of the box thought that made a commodity steel business that resulted to be a billion-dollar enterprise with over 35,000 employees and offices over 32 global locations.

One should develop school of Thought among our self its really comes handy when we sense a problem. Since thought can be mimicked.
As a famous saying by William Shakespeare goes “Some men are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them”
Philosophy Right..?? No, instead it’s a Thought..!

Compete or Collaborate:

Darwin’s popular statement “Survival of the fittest” mantra suits for both Microsoft (MSFT) and Yahoo (YHOO) preparation point to beat Google (GOOG) in search Ad Business.
So is the reason of diversifying Microsoft business for collaboration with YHOO finally hit the time.
Personalities like Mahatma Gandhi to Barak Obama all emphasized the word CHANGE so does the Corporatism and so did the MSFT from their traditional business stroked a CHANGE to a competitive customer oriented business through the new search engine "BING".

Bing a MSFT’s new renamed search engine oops “decision engine” is getting good reviews and is a big hopes for MSFT to position itself to beat GOOG.

World wide Search engine Advertising business will reach nearly $30 billion by 2009(Source: IDC) ,and till now GOOG market share is nearly 65% when compared to 29.6% of YHOO’s and 8.4 % of MSFT (Source: ComSource).
The raising popularity of GOOG not only through its search engine algorithm, but also its aggressive method of acquisition (Big eating Small) have become a competitive player.
Yahoo being the revenue players in Ad displays and Data contents lost their margin when GOOG took over their Content Management Strategy. Today YHOO can still crack a good deal with the collaboration of MSFT to revenge back the GOOG take away Strategy.
My view on this BING deal just makes me feel that it’s a mutual understanding between MSFT and YHOO .They still stand on the initial stage of a 10 year contract and they have a long way to commit on revenue, technology exchange and create a competitive market with GOOG.
I once remember Lakshmi Mittal saying “Acquisition is a Marriage deal” ….. But this deal for BING is just a starting step to a marriage deal and certainly not an Acquisition

MSFT will license YHOO’s search technology, allowing it to integrate certain aspects of it into Bing. MSFT’s advertising search product Ad Center, will replace YHOO’s equivalent product, Panama. It’s all so mutual sensing of capturing the customer views for BING. Though it’s a long wait and watch to capture the market share but a strategic step “not to give up easily”.

One of the standard aspects of life “ One’s loss is One’s gain “,no matter the techies from MSFT and YHOO might have cracked revenue this deal has filled others pockets as well ( definitely not GOOG) but the end users like : Ad Agents: Consider Dell for example initially it had to scan MSFT, YHOO, GOOG for its best laptop search query result now it can go to GOOG and MSFT. That is “From 3 party support to a 2 party support”.
MSFT and YHOO’s deal will create job opportunity since these strategic moves need to create a team to beat Mighty GOOG. Google might be closely watching the deal and its impact but as we know it’s a long battle to beat GOOG.
But Innovation is about creating change, not reacting to change, yet we Compromise for any thing to survive.

On conclusion would say “We can never be certain about the future and therefore we must continue to be flexible and adaptable so that we can react quickly to the needs of our clients and our market place”.

Inventing to Serve each SEC----Society,Enterprise,Country

Infosys, the company every time, I have echoed about during my working days in Mumbai,Hubli, Dharwad, Udupi, Mangalore and Bangalore. My entire journey till date I realized Infosys has created a brand every where, also Narayan Murthy, Sudha Murthy, Nandan Nilekani, and Mohan Das Pai were all from the same place I belong. My curiosity to know more about these famous personalities have given an answer that these idols have an amazing passion for life and one mantra “Living for purpose”.
Most of my business interactions I had with other resources have always flown a spark in me to make it as big as these known personalities in the field of management and technology. No wonder my mind flocks with their thoughts and to my surprise every time their work catches my senses.
Since, I have a personal experience of co- founding a company and showering all I had for its growth made me also quit its way, to the irony is the step what Nandan Nilekani also took being in Infosys to stand his way for other developments. This just made my thoughts stronger as I too have diverted from the company to serve for some developments(its suspense).

I know, what Nandan Nilekani felt while taking such a drastic step, he would have thought million times before he would commit for the Government of India’s “Unique Identification Number” project. The feel behind leaving back Infy would not have been easy, that’s exactly how I thought while taking a step to leave back my co- founded company to pursue MBA. Surely my thoughts didn’t reach the millions countdown but it definitely will be known in few days.

“Unique Identification Number” very important and complex project for every Indian would not have got a better leader then Nandan Nilekani. Now I could too say that “MBA would not have got a better stand until I joined it” .Commitment , Dedication and Sacrifice would be the great deeds that Mr.Nilekani would do as an individual so would I do for my foundation to be strong .

I have known his interest in developing Bangalore’s infrastructure development and other social works. Mr. Nilekani carries true passion in what ever he does and with wide successful corporate exposure he is definitely a solid example to get inspired how great leaders can contribute for countries growth and to keep it on comparison zone ( sorry Nandan Nilekani) I too have eloped my interest in developing one’s bases through education and knowledge. Definitely a strong education background with a magnified exposure is quite a big stage to perform.

Nandan Nilekani will surely chase his dreams behind this big project in his own great way and so would his deeds inspire me to chase my dreams in the big way. So Mr Nilekani, you must know there are many aspirants behind your every step and this would help you create more and more resources like me to our country.
